Emptiness of Zen Masters

Zen Master Seung Sahn died last year. I thought that we could keep his spirit alive by telling our children that there really is a Seung Sahn and that he is alive and brings little boys and girls great happiness. They can write him letters and receive answers from Sueng Sahn himself based on letters he has already written. Then when the children are 13 they will be told that there really is no Seung Sahn at all, to which they will reply:

“‘I know, he already told me.”

Then they will be hit 30 times.
