Troll Head

I’ve been playing with Maya Personal Learning Edition to learn how to do 3D graphics. You can download Learning Edition for free, but as you can see, it isn’t really usable for anything but learning; it puts a ‘watermark’ on anything you try to render. So, Anybody want to hier an animator? My portfolio is on this page. I’ve made a Troll in Maya and a Buddha in Illustrator.

I used this tutorial to figure out how to do the Troll head. I bought a book on doing character animation but found that this one little tutorial was much better. The first thing to do, though, is to learn how to navigate in Maya. I suggest using the help files for this. See more of my trys on my visual page.
