What is Ultimate Healing?
Here is another Buddhist teaching from lamrim.com by Venerable Sarah Thresher.
The fly gets stuck to the paper . . . thats how our ordinary mind is stuck to appearance . . . there is not the understanding that there is no seperation between what is happening to us and the mind that is experincing it. What is happening to us is the display of our karma which is being displayed because we have created it through our past karma. Are you with me? It is not something that is being inflicted on us from outside. So this marvelouse, incredible, unbeleivable, radical thing that happens . . . is finally, finally, finally, hopefully after 30 years of being a buddhist you finally wake up one morning and never again blame anyone for anything that happening to you. You are not an innocent, helpless victim. You are totally empowered because within the nature of your own mind is the potential for total enlightenment, all the time with every second, with every minute, with every hour. This is the unbeleivable thing that the Buddha taught is that there is no one out there to blame for what is happening to us. What is happening to us is just what is happening to us. There is a reason why it is happening to us and that reason comes from our own minds, therefore the only one that can solve it is our own minds.
