The Musical Genius - Derek Paravicini

The story of Derek Paravicini who was born over 3 months early and weighed a little over a pound. During his time in the incubator he received too much oxygen and developed blindness and brain trauma - later he would be diagnosed with severe learning disability and Autism. This combinations of problems, however, has culminated in a very real musical genius.

Interesting to me is how Derek is able to discern angry, happy, and sad music, not so much from an internal feeling - but from emulation of other pieces he hears.
